911 or the ER: medical emergencies.
If it’s a real emergency, call 911 first. A medical emergency is something life-threatening that requires immediate medical care to prevent death or serious impairment of health, including severe pain, bad injury, a worsening illness or medical condition.
988: the number for emergency emotional help.
For those in deep emotional distress who are worried about harming themselves or others, you can call, text or chat 988 and reach the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, where you’ll be connected immediately to trained counselors.
House calls with DispatchHealth.
When you can’t get out to a doctor or provider, or any of our walk-in options, we can send a DispatchHealth care team with a registered nurse practitioner to visit you at home*, through Anytime-MD. You can also contact them through their website.
Use the Anytime-MD App.
For non-emergency, every day care needs without the wait or bills, contact a doctor 24/7 via the Anytime-MD App. They’ll listen, answer questions, advise, diagnose, even get you an appointment or send a prescription to your local pharmacy. That’s peace of mind round the clock, free to all Texas Health Aetna members.
CVS: walk-in to a world of care.
Feeling unwell and want to see someone in person? Members can use any MinuteClinic® location in North Texas and throughout the U.S., for quick, non-emergency care and additional health services – as well as access to virtual care.
See your doctor.
Your primary care physician is your first stop for routine and preventative care. No one knows you or your medical needs better. But if you or a family member is sick or injured, and can’t get an appointment right away, we have other simple, low-cost ways to get you the care you need.
Visit an urgent care center.
When you really need to see someone right away, we have over 200 in-network urgent care and walk-in clinics, including:
- MinuteClinic
- Concentra Urgent Care
- PrimaCare Medical Center
- Urgent Care for Kids
- Legacy Urgent Care
If you have questions about any of our care options, please call the 800# on the back of your member ID card and one of our team will be happy to help.
Always call 9-1-1 for medical emergencies.
A medical emergency is an event that you reasonably believe threatens your or someone else’s life or limb in such a manner that immediate medical care is needed to prevent death or serious impairment of health. A medical emergency includes severe pain, bad injury, a serious illness or a medical condition that is quickly getting much worse.
